The Dothan City Schools offer four magnet school programs: Montana St. Magnet School and Heard Magnet School for elementary grades (K-5) and Beverlye Magnet School and Carver Magnet School for middle school grades (6-8).  Students must apply for the school that serves their cluster (either Dothan or Northview).

We believe that it is essential that each applicant and parent/guardian have a copy of the Magnet School Procedures.  Therefore, the school and application procedures which are readable on this web site (see the menu on the left) do not contain the actual application forms.  Parents must obtain a copy of the application booklet at one of our schools or at the Central Office (500 Dusy Street) in order to make application for their child(ren).  Each booklet contains one application for an elementary school child and one for a middle school child.

The initial application period for the 2010-2011 school year will be January 25-February 26, 2010.  Application booklets wil be available at all Dothan City Schools and the Central Office (500 Dusy Street) beginning January 25.
